#712 Memphis Grizzlies +1.5 over San Antonio Spurs 7:05 PM CT

The Spurs responded from recent rumors of internal turmoil with a win over Cleveland on Tuesday night, delivering a big second quarter to pull away in an eventual 114-102 victory. San Antonio didn’t shoot well from 3-point range but hit 50 percent overall on field goals. Five players eclipsed 30 minutes while Tony Parker was given a bit of a light night as has been the case frequently in recent weeks.

San Antonio was recently passed up by Minnesota for the #3 spot in the Western Conference but while the Spurs are 20-3 at home they are just 11-15 on the road. An average scoring differential of just +3.3 is out of sync with the season record and the Spurs are 3-7 ATS this season playing on the second of back-to-back days. Memphis has turned a corner with strong recent results winning five of the last seven while on a 10-2 ATS run. The Grizzlies are a near .500 home team while covering in the past six home dates.

San Antonio is 7-9 ATS on the road vs. losing teams while covering in just 40 percent of its road games overall this season. The schedules offer some contrast at all with Memphis facing five more games vs. the league’s top 10 than San Antonio has and this is a big series for the Grizzlies who are 0-2 in this matchup last season coming off last season’s competitive playoff series with the Grizzlies beating the Spurs twice at home last April.
