#928 Atlanta Braves (Elder) +110 over Boston Red Sox (Crochet) 12:35 PM CT
Garrett Crochet has lived up to his off-season demands with a 2.04 ERA so far in 75 innings for the Red Sox. He has stranded almost 84 percent of his baserunners for some good fortune while his home run rate is likely to climb over time. Boston has lost four of his last five starts however and Atlanta has hit .262 vs. lefthanded pitching in the past 10 games. The Braves are playing better than the season record suggests considering the 0-7 start to the season and the return of Ronald Acuna and Spencer Strider. Bryce Elder has average numbers so far in 2025 but is set to return after having two AAA stints this season. He didn’t pitch well in early April, but he has a 3.10 ERA in his last five MLB starts including four quality starts in that run. Boston has won just 40 percent of its road games this season while Atlanta is 17-10 at Truist Park and the Red Sox are 1-6 in the past seven games with a combined 15 runs scored as this has been a low point for the offense on the current road trip. Atlanta has a 2.94 bullpen ERA in the past 10 games compared to a 4.31 ERA for Boston relievers and the early edge on the mound behind Crochet Sunday might not be enough over nine innings for the Red Sox given the recent contrasting trajectories for these teams.
