#909/910 UNDER 6.5 Milwaukee Brewers (Priester) at Chicago Cubs (Taillon) 4:08 PM CT

Since returning in August Jameson Taillon has dominated on the mound with a 1.57 ERA in his last six regular season starts. He also threw four scoreless innings against the Padres in Game 3 of the wild card series, a 3-1 win for the Cubs. The three Wrigley Field games vs. San Diego featured 4, 3, and 4 runs and conditions in Chicago should favor pitching again for Game 3 of the NLDS Wednesday with a firm wind blowing in. Taillon allowed just one run in six innings vs. the Brewers in August and had quality starts in two of his three starts vs. Milwaukee this season. Taillon’s weakness can be allowing home runs, but the conditions today should limit that potential and Milwaukee was 22nd in home runs hit in MLB this season despite the highly successful record. Milwaukee had great success behind Quinn Priester this season as he went 13-3 in decisions with a 3.32 ERA and Milwaukee is 21-8 in his outings. This will be his postseason debut but his last two starting efforts against the Cubs have been successful, including allowing one run and three hits in Chicago in August. After two high-scoring blowout wins for the Brewers to start this series, a very different scoring pace is likely in Game 3 with the Cubs facing elimination and with all bullpen options available with the rest day on Monday.
