#702 Georgia Tech +3 over California 6:00 PM CT

Three straight wins brought California to 8-7 and with head-to-head wins over North Carolina and Miami, the Bears were entering the NCAA Tournament bubble conversation. Losing at home by 16 points to Pittsburgh last Saturday effectively ends that hope even with a pair of winnable games for the Bears remaining in the ACC regular season. Both of those games are on the east coast however and California has just two wins away from the west coast this season, one of which came by a single point. The Bears struggle to score inside on offense and is a poor interior defense as well, ranking near the bottom of the ACC in two-point success on both sides of the ball. Rebounding has also been a problem as Mark Madsen’s team plays much smaller than the roster attributes suggest. The 20-9 overall record was built on a light non-conference schedule as well. Georgie Tech grades as the worst ACC team but California struggled to pull away from the Yellow Jackets in February with a 90-85 win in Berkeley. Georgia Tech enters this home finale with a 10-game losing streak, but this will be one of the more favorable matchups the Yellow Jackets have faced in a tough ACC path. Georgia Tech plays at an up-tempo pace and is a successful 3-point shooting team that will have a size advantage in this draw. Georgia Tech won at home in this matchup last February as a 3.5-point favorite and the Bears have just three S/U road wins all season long, now facing a tough turnaround with a long travel after a season-crushing defeat.
