#528 Minnesota Timberwolves -3.5 over Phoenix Suns 7:00 PM CT

Minnesota hasn’t played its best basketball of late, but this is a pairing that should provide some urgency. In the current standings Minnesota is sixth in the Western Conference while the Suns are seventh with a two-game difference. The Wolves are only two games out of the #3 spot in the West as there is a lot of mobility still possible in the middle of the Western Conference playoff picture. Minnesota is back at home after four straight road games and having lost four of the past five should keep focus high. This is the final meeting of the regular season and while the Suns have won the first two games to claim the tiebreak, Minnesota should be motivated after losing those two games by a combined four points. Phoenix is facing a fifth straight road game following a 120-112 loss in Boston last night. The Spurs are on deck Thursday as it has been a grueling mid-March run for the Suns. Devin Booker scored 40 points last night, but the Suns shot poorly from 3-point range and Phoenix has one of the worst offensive efficiency rankings in the NBA over the past 10 games. Minnesota has delivered far stronger results in the recent splits even if the records have been similar in that run. Look for a bounce-back effort from Minnesota on Tuesday even if Anthony Edwards is sitting out.
