#965 Toronto Blue Jays (Gausman) -130 over Minnesota Twins (Ober) 6:40 PM CT
An encouraging start for the Twins this season has soured with a 2-11 run since April 15 as Minnesota finds itself back towards the bottom of the American League, where most expected the team to finish in 2026. Bailey Ober had a tough 2025 season after good returns to start his career, but his splits this season are much more resemblant of last season’s shaky campaign. His ERA is respectable at 3.94 in six starts in 2026, but his K/9 is just 7.6 and he has been fortunate with a very low home run rate so far this season that is less than half of his average HR/9 in 2025. Minnesota’s lineup has scored three or fewer runs in five of the past six games and the bullpen has a 5.30 ERA with a 1.56 WHIP on the season, taking another loss yesterday to waste a good starting effort. Toronto has been a disappointment this season but the 2025 AL Champions are 7-3 in the past 10 games as there is some positive momentum with the team right now. Kevin Gausman is having a fine start to his 2026 season, and he has been among the more reliable MLB starters over the past five years. The Blue Jays are just 4-8 in road games to keep this road favorite price reasonable, and Toronto has terrific bullpen results in the past 10 games with a 0.95 WHIP and a .186 batting average against. Despite similar records at this point in the season, this is likely one of the best AL teams in 2026 against one of the worst AL teams.
