#905 Miami Marlins (Meyer) -105 over New York Mets (Peralta) 6:10 PM CT
Max Meyer is on pace to be an All-Star for the Marlins with a 10.1 K/9 and a 2.52 ERA in 11 starts, currently 5-0 in decisions, while Miami is 8-3 in his starts, including five wins in a row. Meyer beat the Mets with one-hit allowed over seven innings on May 23 for his second straight scoreless outing. The Marlins are only 8-16 on the road this season but they have already faced the Yankees, Dodgers, and Rays on the road this season and this will be just the second familiar division road series of the season. Miami pitching has allowed two or fewer runs in five of the past seven games as the Miami bullpen has excellent recent splits, including a 0.91 WHIP the past five games in contrast to a 1.45 WHIP for the New York bullpen. The Mets have been held to four or fewer runs in eight straight games and the Mets are 13-27 in the past 41 games. Freddy Peralta has pitched in line with his career numbers as an off-season acquisition, but he allowed eight hits and four runs to lose in this pairing last weekend and his Citi Field splits have been worse than his road splits so far in 2026. Over the past five games the Mets are batting .167 with 1.1 runs per nine vs. right-handed pitching, and while Miami hasn’t been overly productive at the plate, the Marlins have a .500 mark vs. right-handed starters and Meyer has proven to have a higher ceiling on the mound than Peralta in the 2026 numbers.
