#921/922 UNDER 7.5 Cleveland Guardians (Williams) at Los Angeles Angels (Urena) 8:38 PM CT

Cleveland won 4-2 last night and three of four meetings between these teams for the season have played ‘under’ between the Guardians and Angels. These are two of the better ‘under’ teams in MLB this season with the ‘under’ 71-61 in Cleveland games and 76-46-2 in games for the Angels. Cleveland has moved back to the forefront of the crowded chase for the final AL wild card spot with five straight wins, and the pitching staff has allowed three or fewer runs in seven straight games. Cleveland has a 0.86 WHIP and a 1.60 ERA from its bullpen in the past 10 games and starter Gavin Williams is pitching at a high level as well. Williams has an 11.7 K/9 and a 3.58 FIP this season while over his last 10 starts his ERA is 3.57 with a 3.15 FIP and an incredible K/9 of nearly 14.0. Rookie Walbert Urena has been a bright spot for the Angels with a 2.80 ERA in nearly 113 innings of work, mostly as a starter. Since July 1, Urena has a 2.20 ERA and for the season his ERA is Anaheim is 2.27 with opponents batting just .176. The Angels have a 2.17 ERA with a 0.93 WHIP from their bullpen in the past 10 games as well, and Los Angeles pitching has allowed three or fewer runs seven times in the past nine games. There were only 10 combined at-bats with runners in scoring position and three combined extra-base hits in last night’s 4-2 win for Cleveland and this should be another strong pitching pairing for the second game of the series in Anaheim.
