#967 Cleveland Guardians (Bieber) +105 over Seattle Mariners (Castillo) 8:40 PM CT

Cleveland has put up 33 runs in five games and while facing Oakland to start the season helped, the Guardians scored four runs last night in a close loss to open this series in Seattle.  A three-run home run in the second inning was the difference as Cleveland’s comeback bid fell short, chopping away with runs in the sixth and eighth after falling behind. Seattle used four relievers last night and five runs is the most Seattle has scored in any game this season, posting a total of only 15 runs in five games despite also being 3-2 to start the season. Both teams are back to their opening day starters tonight with Shane Bieber very impressive in his 2024 debut with 11 strikeouts in six innings. Luis Castillo took a loss for the Mariners in the opener with four runs allowed in five innings against Boston. Castillo in 2023 with Seattle had the worst season of his career since 2018 last season, which was his first full season as a MLB starter and he has featured a much higher home run rate in his time in the American League. Cleveland has a 0.92 bullpen ERA so far this season and has hit .265 compared to Seattle hitting .189 and a consistently underrated Guardians team should be a threat on Tuesday night.
