#326 West Virginia -5 over Cincinnati 1:30 PM CT
Cincinnati has been more competitive than the current 1-6 Big XII and 3-7 overall record suggests. Last week the Bearcats finally got in the win column with a 24-14 win over Houston, getting the help of three turnovers. This will now be a second straight road game as West Virginia looks to get back on track in the home finale in Morgantown. The Mountaineers have exceeded expectations at 6-4 and own a 4-1 S/U record at home with each win by at least seven points. Last week the Mountaineers ran into a motivated Oklahoma squad and things got out of hand in the second half losing 59-20. That was a play-up spot for the Sooners back at home after back-to-back losses and doesn’t diminish the potential of West Virginia this week in a much more favorable draw. Garrett Greene and Emory Jones have similar QB Ratings this season but very different results as Greene has a low completion rate but hits big plays, averaging 8.1 yards per attempt, while sacked only four times and throwing only three interceptions. Emory Jones completes 62 percent of his passes but for much less production and he has been sacked 24 times while leading the Big XII with 10 interceptions as the risk for negative plays for Cincinnati on offense is high. Cincinnati’s run defense has struggled mightily in recent games allowing 4.4 yards per rush on the season but 6.9 yards per rush the past three games, allowing 139 yards rushing on 6.0 yards per rush last week even in a 10-point win. West Virginia’s season numbers are slightly worse, but the Mountaineers also faced two power five non-conference games including competing well with Penn State. West Virginia ran for 176 yards last week and the Mountaineers have averaged 5.7 yards per rush in the past three games while ranking 7th nationally in rushing yards per game. Cincinnati has allowed at least 28 points five of the past six games and the Bearcats have not been efficient enough on offense to keep pace with West Virginia for four quarters in this game.

POINT TRAIN FREE BET – PAC 12 – UNDER 46.5 UTAH/ARIZONA – The Pac 12 feature some of the highest scoring offenses in the country with USC, Oregon, Washington and Oregon State all top 15 when it comes to PPG. These two teams have had some higher scoring games this season, but they’ve typically come against the other Pac12 teams that play fast and have high-octane offenses. That won’t be the case today as Utah averages just 5.2 yards/play which ranks 92nd in all of college football and the Cats defense has been better than expected allowing 334YPG. Arizona averages 6.5 yards/play but those numbers are skewed from a schedule that features a host of defenses that rank 90th or worse in total D. Now they face one of the best defenses in the conference that allows 5.0 yards/play which ranks 28th nationally. Both teams are around average in terms of Yards/Point scored and both prefer a slower tempo with Arizona ranking 88th in pace while Utah is 115th. We will support a small bet on the Under today.
