#162 UTSA -6.5 over Navy 7:00 PM CT
UTSA is 2-0 in AAC play with back-to-back one-score wins in close games, winning at Rice and winning hosting South Florida in close finishes. Navy got into the win column last week and both teams had late scores last week to earn ATS wins as favorites, for ATS results that may not have been deserved. Navy had four turnovers last week and the offense has been a bit of an adventure since Jackson Gutierrez was forced to take over at quarterback. UTSA has allowed 4.5 yards per carry this season, but the Roadrunners have been better defensively in recent weeks as allowing 231 rushing yards to Texas weighed on the early season averages. Navy is 0-3 S/U and ATS on the road this season despite a solid road track record from 2022 to 2024. Brian Newberry didn’t take over until 2023 however, the same year UTSA made the leap to the AAC though this is the first meeting for these teams. The strength of schedule comparisons between these teams presents a major contrast and the Alamodome has provided a great home field edge in recent years with UTSA 18-3 S/U and 14-7 ATS at home since 2023.
