#831 George Washington +7.5 over New Mexico 7:00 PM CT

Winning at Utah Valley was an impressive result for George Washington on Wednesday and while the travel remains significant for the Revolutionaries, the Atlantic 10 has made some noise in the postseason with two A-10 teams winning Round of 64 games in the NCAA Tournament while the NIT has three schools from the A-10 still alive including Dayton advancing again yesterday. New Mexico lost five of its final nine regular season games before winning only one game in the MWC Tournament. Handed a favorable draw to start the NIT, the Lobos took care of business with a 107-83 win over Sam Houston State, a Conference USA squad that saw injuries derail a promising start to the season. New Mexico did defeat A-10 Tournament champion VCU in December, but it was a three-point game the Lobos offered some inconsistency this season in year one under Eric Olen. New Mexico does have eight top 100 wins this season but the three examples since late January have all come in wins by seven or fewer points. George Washington won its opening NIT game even without Luke Hunger, who has a chance to return Sunday. The Revolutionaries nearly gave that game away with a one-point final after once leading by as many as 16 points but this is a team that can shoot effectively inside and out and should be a threat to stay close.
