#532 Denver Nuggets -7 over Golden State Warriors 9:10 PM CT
Denver lost by 12 in the opener at Oklahoma City and then looked out of sorts early in the home opener Saturday vs. New Orleans. The Nuggets snapped out of it with a 69-point second half, eventually winning in overtime. This is still a strong starting roster for the Nuggets and adding DeMar DeRozan and rookie Trevon Brazile makes the Nuggets an intriguing team that can weather early season absences of Cameron Johnson and Julian Strawther. Golden State continues to be valued based on its legacy with holdovers Draymond Green and Steph Curry still on the roster but this could be one of the worst teams in the Western Conference. There is limited depth on the squad that has often battled key injuries while unproven young players are being asked to take on big roles. The Warriors are 03- this season and both road losses have come by nine or more points. The Nuggets are 30-15 S/U at home since the start of last season with a winning ATS mark when favored by fewer than 10 points. Golden State is just 16-29 S/U and 18-27 ATS on the road since the start of last season and the Nuggets may have found its rhythm after the sluggish start and this is still a high-profile pairing that should bring out the team’s best. Denver is 8-0 S/U and 5-3 ATS in the past eight home meetings with Golden State and this is likely the worst version of the Warriors in that run.
