Free Pick Tuesday: #901 San Francisco Giants (Cobb) EVEN over St. Louis Cardinals (Flaherty) 6:45 PM CT

Jack Flaherty has relatively average numbers this season that are worse than his career averages as he looked to build his way back to being a front-line starter after back-to-back injury-shortened seasons. Flaherty made a great start in Texas on Wednesday, but it wasn’t enough for a win and his recent run of success has come on the road as Flaherty has a 6.12 ERA at Busch Stadium this season. San Francisco is quietly on a 23-15 run to erase a tough first month of the season and the Giants had 12 hits and a 12-3 edge in at-bats with runners in scoring position last night despite the close 4-3 final score. St. Louis needed more work from its bullpen last night and that has been a recent sore spot with a 5.34 ERA for relievers in the past 10 games, in contrast with the Giants featuring a 2.40 bullpen ERA in that span. The Cardinals have averaged only 3.4 runs per nine in the past 10 games as the offense continues to disappoint. Alex Cobb has an excellent season line with a 3.01 ERA even with two recent outings wearing on his numbers, one of which was in Colorado. Cobb has not allowed a run in his career at Busch Stadium and San Francisco pitching has allowed four or fewer runs in nine of the past 10 games.
