Nelly’s has won five MLB picks in a row for a great start to the 2026 season – following up a 20-7 start last season!

#969/970 UNDER 8 Detroit Tigers (Valdez) at Minnesota Twins (Ober) 6:40 PM CT

The Tigers have lost the first two games of this division series in Minneapolis and Detroit has topped four runs only once in the past six games as the offense has produced a slow start, while the Tigers have a surprising 4-7 record. Framber Valdez is living up to his billing two starts into his tenure with the Tigers with a 0.75 ERA. Minnesota really struggled vs. left-handed pitching last season and so far in 2026 the Twins are batting .196 vs. left-handers. After strong results from 2022 to 2024 for the Twins, Bailey Ober had a setback season last year. His 2026 numbers have been disappointing but through two starts he has had some tough luck with almost half of his baserunners scoring. Ober has good early season splits overall in his career with a 3.79 ERA in March and April. Both teams have received good bullpen results of late with a 3.15 bullpen ERA for the Twins in the past five games and a 1.89 bullpen ERA for the Tigers in the past five games. It will be relatively cool for early season conditions at Target Field and both lineups have struggled with runners in scoring position in the first two games of this series. Expect a lower scoring result similar to Tuesday’s game as both starting pitchers are capable of strong performances in this matchup.
