#318 Syracuse -2.5 over Boston College 6:30 PM CT

With this line dipping back below three, Syracuse may be worth a look Friday night. The Orange are 0-4 in ACC play with a see-saw season following starting 4-0 in non-conference play. Three of four ACC games have been on the road however and the four teams the Orange has lost to are all quality teams. The only home game on that run was a competitive home loss to Clemson back in September as it has been more than a month since the JMA Wireless Dome hosted a game. Boston College has won four games in a row but that includes non-conference wins by slim margins over Army and Connecticut. Boston College had a wild comeback win to beat Georgia Tech on the road but lost 56-28 in its other ACC road test this season. Thomas Castellanos has appealing rushing numbers but as a passer he has completed just 58 percent of his throws and has seven interceptions. Carlos Del Rio-Wilson has enough experience to fill-in adequately for Garrett Shrader and this matchup will boil down to the success of the rushing attacks. Boston College has allowed 5.8 yards per rush the past three games compared to Syracuse allowing 5.3, and the Orange have faced road games vs. three of the top teams in the ACC standings in those games, while Boston College played light non-conference games in two of those three games. Syracuse had a 443-341 edge in yardage in a 32-23 win last season in Boston with a 158-89 edge on the ground and a similar advantage to allow the Orange to get back in the win column tonight.
