#904 Cincinnati Reds (Greene) +105 over Chicago Cubs (Imanaga) 6:10 PM CT

The Chicago bullpen has a 6.38 ERA in the past five games and Shota Imanaga has been unreliable this season with a 4.67 FIP and a very high 1.8 HR/9. Cincinnati has provided inconsistency at the plate lately, but the pitching staff has done its part with great recent results from the bullpen. Hunter Greene has only pitched once this season but his track record as one of the NL’s top right-handers the past two seasons should be respected. Chicago’s 23-run outburst on July 1 skews all the recent numbers for the Cubs but in the five-game splits Cincinnati’s offense has been more productive, particularly vs. left-handers. The Reds have averaged 7.8 runs per nine vs. southpaws even without hitting a home run and for the season Cincinnati has preferable splits vs. left-handed pitching. The Reds are only 21-26 at home this season but the Great American Ballpark can be a difficult venue for opposing starters and the Cubs were swept in the last series in Cincinnati last September.
