#503/504 UNDER 232.5 Philadelphia 76ers at New York Knicks 6:10 PM CT
The new look 76ers head to New York as the Knicks open the 2026-27 season as the defending NBA champions since the 1970s. The Knicks swept the 76ers in the playoffs last season after a split in four regular season games with the road team winning all four games. Seven of eight closing line totals last season were priced below todayās number including the playoff meetings all in the 210s with a 2/2 split on the results. In four of the past five meetings the Knicks have held Philadelphia to 102 or fewer points. These teams played in the preseason with a 120-97 win for Philadelphia on October 5 and while the roster for the 76ers is loaded with stars, it may take some time to build the offensive flow and rhythm with multiple players used to being court and scoring leaders. The Knicks were a top five scoring defense last season in the regular season and New York improved its defensive scoring in the playoffs by about 10 points per game. This game should have the feel of a postseason game with the extra attention and intensity for a high-profile opening night contest, and a lower-scoring result seems likely. New York was also the fourth slowest pace team in the NBA last season despite being a very efficient offense.
