#977 Chicago White Sox (Schultz) EVEN over San Francisco Giants (Ray) 3:05 PM CT
A 3-3 game soured for the White Sox yesterday with two home runs including a grand slam allowed in the fifth inning as the Giants won 10-3 after a 9-4 Chicago win on Friday. San Francisco is just 3-7 in the past 10 games and 11-13 in home games, while the Giants are only 4-8 vs. left-handed starters on the season. Chicago had 10 hits yesterday as the offense continued to produce and the White Sox lost despite a 9-5 edge in at-bats with runners in scoring position thanks to that 2-out grand slam by Harrison Bader. In the past 10 games Chicago has scored 6.9 runs per nine vs. left-handers while the Giants have averaged just 2.8 runs per nine. Robbie Ray is a recognized veteran for the Giants in the lefty-lefty pairing as a former fluke Cy Young winner. Ray has a 5.32 FIP this season and he is 3-6 in decisions. Ray had a nice start to the 2026 season, but he has a 6.75 ERA since May 1. Rookie Noah Schultz has average numbers for the White Sox on the mound, but he has a very low home run rate at the MLB level and throughout his minor league career. Schultz had one tough start this season, but he has allowed three or fewer earned runs in six of his seven outings and he has decent strikeout potential. While few expected it before the start of the season, Chicago is the far better team than San Francisco right now and Ray’s name and a misleading win yesterday keeps this price in check.
