Free Pick Wednesday: #927 San Francisco Giants (DeSclafani) +145 over Minnesota Twins (Ryan) 12:10 PM CT

The Twins are on an ugly 1-5 slide while scoring a total of just 19 runs in that span, now just a game over .500 and sitting only 2.5 games in front of Detroit in the AL Central. Joe Ryan has been a big part of the excellent starting pitching for the Twins and his numbers across the board are excellent. He has allowed 19 hits in his last three starts however and has only one win in his past four starts after starting the season 5-0. The Giants have scored at least four runs in all seven wins on a 7-1 run the past eight games while only once in that span did San Francisco pitching allow more than four runs. The Giants are one of the better home run hitting teams in MLB and San Francisco has 11 wins vs. winning teams this season compared to only nine for Minnesota. In the past five games the Twins have averaged just 2.7 runs per nine vs. right-handers and it has been San Francisco with elite recent bullpen numbers, posting a 2.20 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP in the past 10 games. Anthony DeSclafani’s numbers aren’t far behind those for Ryan with a 3.09 ERA in over 55 innings of work. DeSclafani doesn’t have the same strikeout potential but he also owns very low walk and home run rates while posting a 1.75 ERA in his road innings with foes batting .196 against him.
