#250 Tennessee Titans +12.5 over Seattle Seahawks 12:00 PM CT

The Seahawks did win the most recent meeting in this series in 2023 but surprisingly haven’t covered vs. the Titans since 2009-10. The narrow loss in Los Angeles last week could take an emotional toll and Sam Darnold looked like the quarterback he was in his two final games with the Vikings in the spotlight to provide some concern despite the overall strong performance from the team this season. Seattle has four road wins this season and two of those wins came by 14 or more points as the glowing numbers for the Seahawks have been built on taking advantage of the favorable matchups, which is what Seattle has this week. Tennessee slipped to 1-9 last week but with a second straight one-score loss at home to a quality team as the Titans are playing better than earlier in the season defensively. The Titans are averaging just 14 points per game however and won’t be a good candidate playing from behind in this matchup should Seattle grab an early lead as expected. This spread could wind up as the largest road favorite spread in Seahawks history however, with the Seahawks last favored by 13 or more in St. Louis in 2013 in the Super Bowl XLVIII Championship season. It has been a good start to the season but that is a level this year’s Seahawks team hasn’t approached quite yet. The Titans have been dogged by 13 or more once since moving to Nashville, losing to Dallas 27-13 late in the 2022 season as this is a rare price even for a franchise that has been stuck in a losing run for several seasons since the back-to-back division titles in 2020-21 and 2021-22. Mike McCoy is 0-4 since taking over the team but Tennessee has scored at least 13 points in each of those games through a difficult schedule after being held below that number in three of six games to start the season. Cam Ward has also posted a QB Rating above 75 in five straight games after doing so just once in his first five starts as there has been clear progress. The 1-9 Titans are catching an inflated price this week in what could be a down spot for Seattle in a second straight road game off a high-stakes division game last week that was lost narrowly.
