#967/968 UNDER 7.5 Atlanta Braves (Sale) at New York Yankees (Cole) 2:05 PM CT

The Yankees won 3-2 in 10 innings last night in a pairing of teams that have a shot to meet in October. 12 pitchers threw last night with both bullpens maximizing matchups. Atlanta pitching has allowed three or fewer runs in nine of the team’s past 10 games for an impressive run, but the Braves have been limited on offense, held to four or fewer runs in four of six games in August and in nine of the past 13 games overall. New York has scored three or fewer runs in seven of the past eight games despite winning half of those games. In the past 10 games the Yankees have been batting just .205 vs. left-handed pitching. This is a pitching pairing of future Hall of Fame starters and runs will be at a premium. Chris Sale remains one of the best pitchers in baseball and he owns an 11.0 K/9 with a 2.08 ERA this season in 20 starts. Coming back from injury Gerrit Cole hasn’t matched his best seasons but he remains an upper tier starting option and he has a 2.75 ERA with an 11.0 K/9 since July 1. Another low-scoring game looks likely even with somewhat favorable weather for offense on Saturday afternoon in the Bronx.
