Toronto is currently #5 in the Eastern Conference standings and with only eight games to go in the regular season, as the Raptors moving up is unlikely. Toronto is facing a fierce challenge to hold on to a top six spot however as the Raptors need to play with urgency as they are only 3.5 games ahead of #10 Charlotte in a tightly packed grouping fighting for the #5-#10 positions. The challenge is great tonight playing vs. the Eastern Conference leaders on the road but the Pistons had a massive game last night with the Thunder, resulting in an overtime loss. Detroit has played four games in the past six days with two overtime games as this could be a flat spot back at home after a pair of high-profile road tests. Detroit hasn’t quite locked up the #1 spot in the East yet, but they own a four-game lead with only seven games remaining. Toronto did beat Detroit in mid-March, and the Detroit roster has plenty of question marks right now and is unlikely to be at full strength. Toronto is also likely to be missing Immanuel Quickley and possibly others, but the consequences are much higher for the Raptors tonight and the short home favorite price on the #1 team in the Eastern Conference provides a lot of information about what to expect Tuesday night.
